Sustainable Feed Recommendations?

Because of the recent pandemic a lot of my local stores have been limiting their hours, staff, and stock. Likewise, I was wondering if anyone has any sustainable feed recommendations?

Ideal feeds:
- fast/quick results
- inexpensive
- nutrient rich
- large output
- low maintenance
- sustainable throughout seasons

I have a flock of ten but my girls will plow through food. I let them pick at my compost and free range throughout the day but I know that a lot of other folks don’t have the same luxury. I’ve seen some people recommend a garden specifically for chicken feed but what plants would be best for this?

Sustainable food choices include: environment: agricultural practices, use of water, degradation and erosion of soil, electricity. Emissions, Runoff and Chemical Use. Clean Food: pesticide and agrochemical use, nutrition and safety in the long term. Locally Produced: global trade displacing small family farmers, transportation.
