So I just picked up some pretty awesome chicks today! Svart Hona (Swedish Black Hen) BLRW mixes! I wasn't sure what they would look like, but at 4 weeks old I can already really see the feathers. I got a boy and two girls, one of the girls is solid black except for her tongue and toenails, and the other two chicks are black-skinned with blue feathers. I think they are going to be gorgeous! They just got home so I'll get some pictures of them when they settle down!
I also picked up a younger pure Svart Hona as well! I'm so happy because I thought that I'd never be able to have a Swedish Black Hen or Ayam Cemani but I'd been in love with the ever since I first heard of them. None of them are totally black so I'm not going to breed to sell, I'm just so glad to have them!
