They left the first nest and created a new one!
I don't know how religiously they were sitting on the eggs, had only really noticed them the last three days. Is there any chance if I put them in the incubator this afternoon? What kind of settings do I need? I have never hatched waterfowl eggs before only pheasant, peacock, turkey, guinea & chicken. We have a GQF Sportsman, any ideas how to keep the eggs from rolling around in the trays?
Rant: D@#$ husband is blaming the dog for harassing them, but I know it took more than three days to get the nest ready and lay the eggs (right next to the yard!) and he's the one who moved a tarp over for 'privacy'. After that was when they started having issues with the dog being able to sneak up on them and then they start hissing and of course the dog goes ballistic. They come up to the fence all the time to hiss at and taunt the dogs, never bothered them when they could see the dogs. Now he wants to put a shock collar on the dog
Anyone want a slightly used husband?
Thank you for listening.
