Swedish Blacks or Overmarked Ancona

Beautiful overmarked Anconas. I loved mine. I had some that were even mallard coloration with a white collar. I bred for more white but they really came in quite the range of markings. My favorite were my high white blue spotted ones. Also had splash, black, mallard, and chocolate spotted ones. They were all so fun.

They had Ancona ducklings mixed with Swedish Blacks, so I think I just got a mix. However, since doing some research, I've found that when Anconas become endangered, they buffed up the breed with some Swedish Blacks. And despite the markings, both breeds are very similar in all other ways. I almost think that they would eventually breed out into looking more like Anconas.

They could be black swedish but don't be surprised if they truly are Anconas. As I said I hatched out quite the range of markings.
They very well could be overmarked Anconas.

I also found this. ????????

They look like non-standard marked Anconas to me. With every breed there are ducklings that do not meet the color standard either by a little or in this case a lot. Some show breeders will cull them to avoid their genetics diluting the gene pool, but others will instead sell them off cheaply. I'm assuming since someone is flipping ducklings for cash, that these ducklings originally didn't make the cut for obvious reasons with a show breeder so they sold them off cheap.
