SWEDISH Duck Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my silver Swedish didn't want to leave the nesting box this morning and when I tried to get to move she was limping do you guys think that my Muscovy drake could have been the reason for this or is it something else? I'm a first year duck owner so I don't know much. I'm probably going to put some food and water in front of her so she can eat and drink because she is laying on her side almost trying not to touch it to anything and I don't think that she has had any thing to eat or drink all day. poor thing I'm just freaking out right now.

She needs to be in a safe place, the drake needs to be kept away from her.

She really needs fresh water, as well as food. I would get her into a tub of clean, lukewarm water, deep enough to float in, and watch her carefully. Can she use her leg, her wings, does she seem happy or just sit there? If a duck doesn't start playing around in water, they are ill or injured, in my book.

Ducks can recover, but they need proper help.

I have a Swedish crested duck that has been harmed by male ducks doing mating season. Can someone help me to make her environment right for her. She can't see very well she partially blind. She has one male that came with her. Nutrition and envirment what special needs does she need.

See if you can find a breeder ration. I would also get poultry vitamins with probiotics and give that once a week for a couple of months.

Fresh drinking water 24/7, food, too, at least at first.

They didn't eat last night or today. So I put a bowl of treats out their them parsley corn peas weeds spinach tomatoes zucchini . The girl ate a little . I locked them away from chickens tonight so they don't eat it. They will drink the plastic tub water but they will not drink from a chicken water dish container or a rabbit feeder I saw some people have. Any suggestions.

Could you review what they used to eat, and the containers they used to use? I apologize if you've already answered those questions.

I think the chicken waterers are fairly shallow, yes? That's more difficult for a duck to drink from.
