SWEDISH Duck Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a picture of them? Rouens are pretty close in size to swedish. I can't say where to get them. I also bought mine from a feed store. I'm sure you could order some through a hatchery. You can also check craigslist.com. If you don't mind mixed ducklings, breed isn't a big deal as long as they are both close in size.

She looks like a mallard to me. I don't think they would be able to breed but Im not positive. I would definitely try to find a few more hens for him.

Thank you. I am looking for more hens but the only thing I can find around here are runners.

I don't think runners would be an issue. My friend free ranges her ducks and has both swedish and runners.

The earliest sign is the loud female. Males are quiet. when you pick them up you can tell. I have seen females withgreen in them so I can't tell by that. The males generally get their curly tail around 3 months.

All my sweedish ducks have green if you here a quack at all its a female the males don't quack ours all changed about 7our 8weeks old the male not until a good 10
