Swedish Ducks - Good Broodies?

I know it sounds crazy, but I would rather have broody hen than an incubator. A friend of mine has Swedish ducks and I wondered what the likelihood of one going broody and setting a bunch of chicken eggs would be.

I've never had a duck, but it would be a good excuse! Our neighbors just built a HUGE pond right behind my property. If the duck were useful, my husband will let me get a few.

I know Muscovies are great mommas but I haven't been able to find an adult.

I've heard that mallards and muscovies are by far the best broody ducks. Mallards are my number one choice for broody mamas.

my swedes went broody ONLY when there was a male duck doing his 'job'. without the male, they didn't.
