Auction is for 12+ eggs. You will get all eggs laid Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday plus a bonus of eggs laid Saturday. It will be at least 12 + extras but will more likely be 18+. They will ship Wednesday. Shipping is 15.00 for priority. Eggs will be bubble wrapped and packed very carefully the way I like to receive eggs.
My Swedish flock is currently running all together. I've 5 red mille fleur roos. 2 crested, 3 uncrested. 2 are black patterned, 1 blue patterned, 1 splash patterned. There are 14 hens in several shades of mille fleur and pied, as well as 1 red shouldered splash. 6 are crested. My uncrested black and blue patterned red mille fleur roos are the dominate roos.
There is a small chance of a crested to crested breeding-if that happens that chick would have a 25% chance of getting 2 genes for crested, they'd have a larger then normal crest and possible vaulted skull, etc. I've calculated the odds of this showing up in a dozen of these eggs and its less then 1 %.
My flock was culled down from 16 hens and 10 roos. The majority were purchased from Greenfire Farms as chicks, the rest were hatched from BYC member DaisyJack (the latter are a few weeks younger and may not all be laying yet). The older girls just started laying about a month ago. Fertility has been 100% so far. My first hatch was small as I had 2 hens start laying well ahead of the others, but 8 eggs total were set and 7 of them hatched. The Auction is starting at 1.00. Please bid via public reply, not PM. Last week they were burying us in eggs but we just moved them to a new coop which always seems to make everyone slow down. (Poor timing, but it just got completed and its a lot cooler then the old coop) If they don't make 18 Sunday-Tuesday the winner has the option to get them on another week of their choosing.
