I just came back from tractor supply, I needed bedding and some cracked corn. The bag of corn cost $8 and sweet feed was $9. I remember I used to give the sweet feed to the horses in the winter, would that not be better than cracked corn for the chickens? It has molasses, corn, oats in it, what do you all think?

It's about the same nutrient wise as the cracked corn. Both are treats, not feed. Neither one should be the sole source of nutrition for your flock.

I give my chickens a little for a treat but not much. I look at is as giving them a little dessert after they eat the healthy stuff.
