So when you order online and they send you 12 chicka instead of 10 should you always assume the extras will be roosters?

Pretty sure i have atleast 2 roos.

You might have cockerels, or not. Try calling the hatchery, and ask what's shipped extra, usually. They won't be able to tell you what was in your box, exactly, but should give you some idea about their usual procedure.
I've gotten cockerels from, MurrayMcMurray and Meyers, and pullets from Cackle, in years gone by. When I ordered from Cackle for 2018, the lady on the phone said that extras would be of the same breeds that are in the order, and I'm very happy with that.
On the other hand, getting a surprise chick is fun! And extra cockerels will either get rehomed, or frozen.

It all depends. Sometimes hatcheries add what are affectionately called "packing peanuts". These are extra cockerels added to the shipment to help "fill up the box" so the chicks you ordered don't get too chilled.

If you asked them not to send packing peanuts, they will honor that request, if it does not put the ordered pullets in jeopardy of being too chilled.

Some hatcheries include a "free exotic". This is almost ALWAYS a cockerel, and only exotic b/c it's something you don't want! Again, you can refuse this as well.

If you've ordered enough chicks that packing peanuts are not needed, the hatchery may toss in a few extra chicks to make up for the likelihood of DIS (dead in shipment) chicks. These extras should match what you ordered, both in breed and gender.

Hatcheries usually claim 90% accuracy in sexing.

What breed are they? That will help determine what sex they are. I suspect the 1st 2 are roos but the 3rd pick may be female.

They are easter eggers almost 3 weeks old... Also remarkably hard to catch a good pic of with my smashed phone lol.
