sweet pdz added to bedding

I use sand in my show bird cages and was wanting to help control the odor. Does anyone know if sweet pdz can be mixed in the sand without the chickens eating it?

If they eat your sand they would doubtless take in a little of the sweet pdz as well, but it is harmless, so, I don't see any problem with your plan
