Sweet PDZ -- Granules or Powder?

Nearly done with the coop! I built a poop tray under the perch.

Want to fill it with sweet PDZ and be able to scoop the poop out with a kitty litter shovel.

What is the best kind to buy? Powder or granules?

Also pic of my perch and shelf...so glad I learned about poop shelves on this forum! It is a small coop and having the extra floor space for feeders etc...is wonderful.

I use the granular it seems to be less dusty. You might want to build a lip around the board to keep it in.

Thanks, I want to avoid dust!

The shelf has a 1 inch lip on it, not sure what I was thinking but yeah it will need a deeper lip.
