sweet potato?

I have a raw sweet potato (not yam) that I am not going to eat. Can I give it to my girls?

Shred that sweet potato with a potato peeler, fluff up the little shreds, and toss it out to the girls. voila! sweet potato worms! But be sure to get out of the way. You might get run over in the stampede.

I read somewhere that there's SOME kind of difference, maybe in where they're grown or something. Doesn't matter to me. I love 'em no matter WHAT they call 'em!

I feed them baked. They LOVE them.

Mine love 'em cooked, too ..... but I suppose it'd be no different than giving an uncooked pumpkin or squash ...

Ours like them cooked. Makes their yolks nice & dark too. Never tried to feed them raw sweet potato.
