Recipe please Miss Prissy!
Not Miss Prissy here, but I bet she also makes the original. You have to buy key lime juice, comes in a bottle, I've never seen any but Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice. Recipe on the bottle. Trick is finding the bottle -- should be on the cake mix aisle but it's often on the canned fruit aisle or even the Worcestershire aisle.
If you happen to find real key limes in the produce section:
1 can SCM
1/2 cup key lime juice
3 eggs, separated
9" graham cracker crust
Mix yolks with milk and lime juice til slightly thickend, pour into crust, replace lid, freeze. That's it.
The acid of the juice will "cook" the yolks a bit, but you are still eating raw eggs.
I like it with whipped cream on top, but lots of folks make a meringue out of the whites. You can also beat the whites and fold part of them into the lime mixture to make it fill the pan a little better.
