Something new for me to learn and look forward to...ughhh.

I hope your guy responds quickly to the meds and is on the mend soon.

I agree tylan 50 is a good idea. My chicken has a swollen eye right now and I was recommended to put her on tylan and she is doing much better(today was day 3 of treatment). The injectible can also be given orally if you are not comfortable with needles. Not sure of the dosage for a turkey though. Good luck.

Baytril asap, sinuitis usually caused by mycoplasma gallesepticum would be my best guess. I have seen pictures that look just like your turkey of MG. [email protected] Peter Brown will not what to do and how mcuh to give. Wish the best for you, your turkey, and chickens.

You can buy it at tractor supply. It is Tylan 50 it says on the box for cattle and swine only but numerous people on this site and even the tractor supply worker say it is fine for poultry in the right dosage. In the backyardchicken search bar enter in tylan im sure youll be able to see all the results. I right now am using that exact tylan 50 for my chicken. Im on day 4 of her treatment and she is getting so much better. Im heading outside in just a few mins to give her her dose.

Just thought id post a before and during (4 treatments in) of my chicken on Tylan 50 for you

before taken 6/21

4 treatments in taken tonight 6/24

I have no clue for turkey... on one of these threads I did see something about a certain amount of ccs per x amount of pounds on your animal. I have been told and also have read that people give 1/2cc to an adult chicken and a 1/4cc to younger chickens and bantams. Ill look for the thread if I come across it I will be sure to post it for you.

oh and you give it to them once a day:)
