Swelling below vent on my hen

I noticed my hen had s dirty bum . When I picked her up to clean I found she has a huge soft squishy lump under her vent. Her vent is clear and dry and this lump is bald and dry.
I was reading different threads on this site and found entries with same conditions but no one has an answer as to what it is or what to do.
She is happy , singing , eating drinking, they free range all day, but yeow , it looks bad.
Any help?

I don’t know if she’s laying I don’t ever see my hens lay. I don’t have any way to get pic. Til tomorrow . They are free ranging won’t come in until evening dusk.

It's all okay no worries I was just trying to cover the bases. Egg bound or ascitis come to mind. I have no personal experience with ascitis but have read a few posts on it. Do a search on that topic and see if any photos of it match what your seeing and what is going on.
