Our ducklings are about two months old. They were swimming in a Tupperware bin are in 3-4 wks now they have grown got the dark brown feathers not sure of the males yet but we have a pond. Moved them down there and tried to get them in the water. They refuse. We placed a a few in and they scamble to get out. What's with this

Well their instinct is there maybe something under there that might eat them. Mama duck introduces her ducklings to ponds and they learn to trust it by trusting her . If you can swim in the pond maybe if you go in they will . Two months they are still turtle bait also do you have snapping turtles?

No

It's man made. No turtles fish or anything else that we know of. It's not deep the water has gone down due lack of rain. The banks aren't to steep. Just baffled
