Swimsuit Question

I would not put a swimsuit in the dryer. In my experience, the heat weakens the elastic. (same with over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders) Just let it hang somewhere where it can drip.

My daughter is a competitive diver/swimmer and her suits barely make it through the season even with rinsing/washing them. Good Luck!

rats, can't find it--must be in one of my folks' albums

Think about it girl. I bought mine 15 years ago for $110. That is about $7 a year. How long will any other suit last??

You are probably the only person I know of that can wear the same size suit for 15 yrs. in row!!! Good for you! I stick with the basic tank one piece & board shorts. I like the coverage

I can still wear the one from 8 or so years ago... it's been a bit tight... then a bit baggy and now is back to tight, but for the little swimming I do it's fine... especially since I wear my Adidas shorts over it. I really do TRY and not traumatize the kiddos.

If anyone is going on a cruise soon.... check their outlet sale for sturdy suits for $10...( and be aware of their short hours! )

We just went on our first cruise... Princess Sapphire to Alaska... and I went to the cooking demo (where else

) & Galley tour, which conveniently dropped us out into a giant 'outlet sale' of goods left over from their Mexican Cruise season. A lot of chachkis & junk, but some really nice, simple suits for $10. I bought one for hot tubs & pools, to save my 'good' suit, & tested it in the pool, I know, just once isn't definitive, but it didn't fade or change. I RAN back to get 2 more, & they had just closed up shop & wouldn't let me in even though I knew exactly what I wanted.

or Pink (kind of Salmon pink, meh).

I am one of those PLUS sized woman with big thighs and big legs and a big caboose. Talk about difficulty finding a perfect suit that hides them. Now dont tell me those high leg cuts will "accentate" those legs and it would empower them to look BIGGER! Good Lord, who were the creaters of those swimsuits.

If those men and boys can wear swimshorts, almost down to their knees, why NOT us that have some imperfections? Why all the women suits looks so darn skimpy and the PLUS size women looks like Michelian tire boy with those skimpy or so called flattering swimsuits. If they can make our skirts a bit longer to hide our upper thighs, all for the better. I know we would have extra fabric to deal with swirling around us when we wade.

However I have not yet seen a very very skimpy swimsuit...used to be so popular!

The suit is a size 18 and it stretches enough to hold me when I was a 24. Now it is almost too big - DRATS!
