Which as a side note is how I don't understand how folks can vaccinate their horses for under $100 a year - even if they do it themselves.

Ummm… Ironies aside, I thought the deal is, we believe in the power of God AND we're to seek competent medical help when needed? I would take the safer course with my child in addition to prayer/blessing, considering the unknowns with this flu… yes, treating most minor ills at home is something we should be doing. But if your daughter isn't back to herself by morning, surely Mom would agree with you.

As for our birds- the bio-security sounds like the only protection (plus a prayer for them isn't out of line, IMO).
