Switched Waterer in Brooder - I LOVE IT!

We are brooding our last batch of chicks and I HATE dealing with the soiled smelly water not to mention that the chicks are then walking and pooing where they are drinking. Well we switched over to the nipple waterers last night and they took directly to them and went to town. I love the supply of fresh CLEAN water and the ease of fill! No more spilled water!

I just ordered my nipples as well. Should be here in about a week. Can't wait, not only is it cleaner it also reduces the time in the morning to give them fresh water. As I need to be in the car by 5 am to go to work, every 10 minutes gained is a blessing.

How old are your chicks? Mine will be about 2 wks when I get the system. I hope they will be able to use it.

You guys got a link to this waterer or one like it? I'd like to look into something like this. Right now, I just elevate mine water to where it's not able to get AS dirty.

I got mine from Amazon.com and searched for "water nipple."

Nipples keep the bedding MUCH drier! Just make sure you raise the container as they grow (they should have to reach up a little, not stoop under to get the water).

I ordered mine from QC Supply. Now I have to have DH put them in the PVC pipe.
