Switching chicks with eggs

New member first post. Seems like y'all have a great site here anyway long story short if I take 3 week old chicks from a hen and replace them with a clutch would she set again or could she reject and possibly damage the eggs? She's still broody growling and puffing. Thanks

She would likely take the eggs, but it would not be healthy for her to set again immediately. Hens do not take the best care of themselves when brooding.

Thanks for the quick replies. Back a few yrs. ago (15 or so ) I had a yard full peafowl different ornamental pheasants valley and jap. Quail Cornish rock crosses game chickens etc. but have always incubated my eggs. Decided to get a few game chickens again and I have one with 6 two week old kids one laying has 5 eggs now not too concerned with her i know she'll go broody by the way she's acting but I have another hen on her 7th egg but to me couldn't be less concerned with them so I was thinking I could use the mom hen for those in case she doesn't. I don't want to add to the other 5 cause I won't know what's what when they hatch.
