Switching feed

I first started my four chicks on a 20# bag of Dumor starter & grower. I’ve since heard bad things about the food. Although my chicks haven’t had problems yet, I don’t wanna risk it. If I cold turkey quit this food and start using a different brand would that upset my chicks? They are only three and a half weeks old so not even close to switching to layer feed. Thanks!

There shouldn't be an issue switching feed. I suggest simply switching to an all flock feed such as Flock Raiser by Purina. It's almost identical to chick starter, and you can feed it from here on. It's the only thing I feed to my mixed flock ranging in age from chicks to a geriatric nine and ten year old and layers and roosters.
