I just got my quail on Sunday and the guy gave me some chick starter that he had been feeding them. I stopped by a feed store today for gamebird starter, but they did not have that in stock. The store sold me turkey starter for 1/2 price since he had some left from the fair last week. Will switching them up cause any issues? Should I keep them on the turkey starter or go with something else next time? This feed store is not local, so I can always check to see what my local place carries.

ya can mix it 50/50 for a day or so and then 25/75 for a day or so and then 100%. i just changed mine it didnt cause any problems. except they didnt touch it for about 2 hours then dove in

You Can Feed It Throughout Their Lifetime If You Wish. Best Thing To Do Is Find Out And Pick Whats Available Locally And Work Towards Getting Them On That. Any Diet Changes Once They Are Laying Will Either Decrease Or Halt Egg Production For Up To 2 Wks. So Consistency Once Laying Is A Small Key To Productivity.
