Switching from crumbles to pellets???

don't you just love the buckets? I saw a youtube video from some guy in Australia that used them ("self-sufficient me" was his name) and they have worked perfectly for me. Free too! I've got 3 and when one gets grungy I just clean it up and dry it really good and rotate it in when I need to.

I do love them! Mine has 4 windows and is actually a small plastic trash bin with a lid that has 2 clips. I paid like $10.00 for the bin.

I was originally going to use a 5 gal bucket but I was worried about the lid being next to impossible to take off and put back on without cracking in the dead of our -40C winters.

For the 5 gallon bucket feeders, how are people making the holes?
Also, has anyone fed the nutrena duck pellets? I can't get the 40 lb bags of purina duck pellets, but one of the farm stores carries the nutrena duck pellets so I've started to switch my older ducklings onto that.
