    Hi all-
We have been feeding our flock organic layer feed for the past couple of years. We have a new feed available that is non-GMO and non-soy, and free of pesticides, but not certified organic. It's significantly cheaper but good quality and we're considering changing over. I'm concerned that I've changed feed on previous flocks and really saw a drop in egg production. Any advice/guidance on transitioning from grain to pellets? Should we consider crumbles instead as an intermediate step? We have had excellent egg production from our flock in the past. Hot temps/cold temps doesn't seem to matter. Don't want to mess with a good thing, but am tempted by lower cost of good, quality alternative feed. Appreciate your input.

    Clare
