Swollen big belly

Hi everyone,

Noticed that my buff orphington chicken has a big swollen belly near the butt and no feathers.

What is this and how to treat it if is a problem?

Is she egg bound? Does she show any other signs of sickness, runny nose, eye discharge coughing, sneezing, wheezing etc.? Does she walk like a penguin, is she lethargic? Is she eating and drinking normally?

It looks like she has been feather picked there. If her belly seems enlarged, it could be from ascites (water belly,) or from internal laying. It it generally enlarged all over or pooched out like a hernia? I would observe the chickens behavior, and if she is being picked on separate her in a dog crate or pen with food and water. She also might be picking her own feathers.
