Swollen cheek, bleeding through nostrils.

started last night at 2.5ml

glad he doesnt have teeth. Nipping at me while I’m giving his meds.

Any suggestions about how to administer it other than via syringe? In his was or on his food?

Try a few different ways and see what works, just avoid holding the neck downwards, or where you're holding him in a position where you putting unnecessary pressure on the crop area while administrating the fluids.

This is a crop feeding video, but this is basically how I administer oral fluids to my birds, but everyone has their own preference so see what works.

I assume your question was meant to say if you could put the Amoxicillin in his feed or water, the simple short answer would be no, amoxicillin has a very bad smell/taste almost like sour vomit, so the duck's feed and water intake would most likely be decreased which would not only cause health problems, but may affect the effectiveness of the antibiotics. The other problem is the powder may get on the sides of the feed bowl, or the water may get splashed around so the dose may not be accurate. Orally is the way to go.

How is she doing today?
I’ve continued with the doses you’ve advised. No change (good or bad), but she continues to act like the others. Tonight Wed June 24) I was feeling the lump on her face and though it didn’t seem to hurt her, when I gently but firmly pressed on it, I noticed a nearly colourless fluid come out her nostrils. It wasn’t red, but maybe a yellow/greenish tint. Could this be pus? Again I want to emphasize that it didn’t seem to hurt Pickles but I’m curious as to what this lump is.

thank you for checking in.

This sounds like Todd. I took her to the vet and they drained it. It's not pus because duck pus looks like cottage cheese. the vet called it something that sounded like Serama She had a scratch and got poop in it. She's on antibiotics now and getting better. Let me try to look up what she's taking. Here's what poor little Todd looked like.
