Yes, looks like impacted crop. Thing to watch for afterwards is pendulous crop. The hen who underwent surgery is doing very well, but had to wear a compression bandage for a while to help tighten everything up. Tube bandages work just fine since they have lots of flex so yet offer adequate compression. Cut out wing slots and put it on like a sweater so the tube completely encompasses her crop after surgery. Soft, easily passed foods like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, soaked feed are all good to feed after surgery, but don't let her go ham on food right away because you don't want to stretch the stitches, so feed her small amounts often while she recovers in your hospital pen.
