Swollen chicken feet

Hello, I have a Favorall chicken that has 2 swollen feet. I know it is not bumblefoot because there is no callous at the bottom or anywhere. What can I do to reduce the swelling? I would appreciate any help, Thanks

How old is she and what do you feed?

Are the whole feet swollen or just the ankles? Do they have a lumpy appearance? I agree, pictures would be helpful.

Well i think its got a few issues, one being the nails are excessively long and need trimming before it gets too hard for her to scratch up dirt and wear them down. But I would say shes got pretty bad scaly leg mites. There are some articles on BYC explaining treatment

Of course! You know I would think the nails only got long because of the mites! You're right though you don't usually need to trim their nails.

I agree with @WallacetheKhakiCampbell that she has Scaly Leg Mites and needs a nail trimming.

Slather some vaseline, castor oil or Nu Stock cream onto her legs and toes, working the oil or cream up and underneath the scales. This will help smother the mites. I would apply the oil/cream at least once a week for a month, then re-evaluate. Treating SLM can be a process. An alternative treatment is to use Ivermectin, but you will still want to apply some oil to the legs to help them heal.

Nail trimming, you can trim a bit each week to get them shaped up.
