Swollen chicken toe / foot

Hi,
I got some new chickens dropped off yesterday and have seen this morning one of them has a swollen toe.
Just wondered if any one knows what it is & how to treat please?

Where are you located? The swollen toe looks like either it was smashed or possibly had the tip frostbitten. If there is any open wound or scab, you can apply some Betadine or Vetericyn to it, but it should not require a lot of care. Is the chicken limping on that foot?

Hi I am located in the Peak District UK. The chicken itself is fine she's happy and doesn't seem to bother her if I touch it.

You have some disinfectant creams available I believe. Chlorhexidene is also good, and some mouthwashes may contain it.
