Swollen chin and bruising help

Pecking order battles have begun (they're almost six weeks) and this kid is so beat up. Bruising on the face and a swollen pocket on the chin. I need to know if I need to be doing anything for treatment. I absolutely don't want to remove (I'm assuming it's a him?) unless absolutely necessary so that they don't have to keep starting over, but I also don't want some abscess rupturing because I was too stupid to know how to treat it. Not interested in losing any other birds. Kiddo is eating and drinking and active. Thank you so much for any advice.

I think it looks like the swelling under the chin is going down today? I'm hoping that's a good sign.
