I'm still building my first flock and got three new hens (White Leghorns that are 10 months old) yesterday. All three of them have swollen combs that are pale in color with black spotting. We are in Alaska and temps are still dropping below freezing at night so it may be frostbite but since I'm new to all this is like to be sure. No swollen wattles or feet although two if them have bloody toes (it appeared from pecking.) Even though i just got them yesterday two have each laid eggs today already. Is that enough info? The picture below is of one of my girls (i have them in the garage until this weekend.) Thanks for the help!
