One of my ISA Brown hens (Red) just today had a scuffle with my new rooster today (nothing too serious; mostly to see who is more dominant). Both appeared to be uninjured except for a slight speck of blood on my hen's comb and some on her wattles. One thing that concerned me was that one of that one of Red's earlobes was slightly swollen and purplish in color. She acted a little "defeated" afterwards, but otherwise is acting normal. I believe the swelling is simply from the scuffle, as I did not notice it any other time.
