Swollen cheek

I am surprised it was hard and then you got clear fluid out of it. It sounds like a cyst. Her problem swallowing sounds possibly like canker/histomoniasis which is a protozoan infection that causes yellow gunk inside the beak, on the tongue, cheek, and can invade the esophagus and crop wall. It is spread by pigeons and other wild birds. It also smells very rotten. Have you had any fowl pox from mosquitoes in your flock? The wet form of fowl pox can look similar to canker. If you can get someone to hold her wrapped in a towel, you might be able to take a picture of inside her beak. Here is some reading about canker:

Thank you for your reply! I do not smell anything when I deal with her mouth. No fowl pox, lots of mosquitoes though. I do have some Metronidazole for my dogs 500mg/tablet. Do you think it’s worth a try to give her some? I can try for a picture later tonight when my help will be home from work.

Metronidazole is not approved for poultry (few medicines are,) and I probably would not use it unless you see any yellow patches inside her beak. If you do though dosage is 250 mg daily for 5 days. Some use acidified copper sulfate in the water 1/4 tsp per gallon for 5-7 days instead to treat canker. Murray McMurray hatchery sells it online.

Alright well then I ordered the acidified copper sulfate. It will take a few days to arrive. Any advice in the meantime? I was able to record the “swallowing” although I am unable to load the video on this site

Poor girl!
I do agree, it looks like she's choking or gagging, but not the usual crop adjustment.

If you aren't seeing any material/canker/lesions inside the beak or throat, I'm not sure what can be causing this.

Did you end up giving her Benadryl or you just decided to drain the swelling?

Yes, I did give Benadryl but it didn't help. The bump has been drained a couple of times but fills back up. She is enjoying her scrambled egg breakfast, then I will return her to the flock later this morning. Thanks for your response!!
