Swollen Eye On a Chick

It won't get softer. Sometimes it will squeeze out, it may take some manipulating to get it to come loose. You may need to do a fair amount of squeezing. Worst case you can use an instrument to scoop/pull it out, but you need to go slow and careful so that you don't damage the eye. A curette like this one would be a good option:

Good you got some out. You will need to get it all out in order for it to heal, or it will just keep filling back up. I understand needing a break, so finish when you have a block of time you can take.
 
wondering after it's all done and she recovers will she see out of that eye again?
 
Time will tell. Hopefully the eye was not damaged by infection. Once you get the pus out, then treat with the ointment, and then with some time you will know.
 
there's too much pus every day taking some out and out. The ones that are deep decided to leave since in the morning those will start coming out near the front where the open eye lid is. Buying that tool you sent me to make things easier Molt Bone Curettes #2/4, Double End
