Swollen Eye On a Chick

Just ordered the tool you sent should be here next week on wednesday. I'll keep trying everyday with my old tool

There's still one piece of pus on it's pupil. It's liked sucked on to it. I'm afraid if I take it off I'll make it go blind. Any ideas?

came out this morning and she disappeared.. Hawks maybe hawks are always flying around like yesterday when I was building the coop some hawks were flying down all the chickens ran to me and i looked up and saw them. The flew away when they saw me. I'm searching for her around the house. ideas?

I hope she didn't get taken by a hawk, but certainly possible if she's not seeing well, and small as she was it could have carried her off. Also she may be hiding somewhere, in brush or under something. They tend to panic and scatter. Put some food/water out where she may have gone and keep your eye out. Sometimes they don't reappear until near dark when they try to come back to the coop, so if she hasn't shown up by then, leave a lantern or other light near the coop entrance, she may come then. I hope you find her. :hugs

I kept her with another chick who was the same age together with a baby chick that was born a few weeks ago. Those 3 loved each other. Anyway I kept them in a large box with a yellow heat lamp since red was too hot in my garage. After the yellow one which is the one we're talking about in this thread, disappeared I put a folded up cardboard box over it as a lid leaving a part open so it can breathe.(lid was heavy) Woke up today the lid torn off and the white chick in this thread gone: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/im-pretty-sure-shes-sick.1374241/ I know it's a predator now and for me, I think it's a cat since hawks don't really come in your garage. We've had problems with cats coming into our garage before we kept chickens. Ideas?
