Our hen has something wrong with its eye not sure what. We tried flushing it with saline thinking there was pus in it but we haven’t been able to remove anything. She is eating fine, just has been separated from the flock. Can anyone identify what this is?

Your guess was correct. It's pus, and it needs to be removed. She also needs an eye antibiotic. You can order Terramycin from Amazon.

Push slightly around the edge of the eye toward the eye. Using a Q-tip but without touching the eye, pull the pus away from the eye. Keep it up until you can get no more out of the eye. Then flush it with saline eye wash. Put the Terramycin in it twice a day until it's healed.

I am guessing that her eye may be punctured and possibly blinded, but the yellow is infection. The eye looks smaller than it should if it were not punctured. I would get some saline or eye wash and flush the eye twice a day, and use Terramycin eye ointment in it twice a day. Neosporin can be a substitute if you can’t find Terramycin in a feed store.
