my chicken has a swollen eye that she sometimes has open but will close it for long periods of time. The other eye looks fine and is always open. She seems to be acting fine eating and all as normal. I currently have her on vet rx and Neosporin without pain relief. What might this be? It’s been going on for about 2 weeks.

Swollen eyelids are usually due to a respiratory disease, but might also be from a peck or a sting to that area. Do you notice any bubbles or drainage from the eye, any nasal drainage, head shaking, or noisy breathing sounds?

I haven’t noticed anything from the eye and her breathing is normal, not heavy or anything. Nothing from the nose either.
