Swollen/fallen off toes on adopted hen photo link included

You dust the sevin on each hen and put in their coop and on the roost, I would use only the sevin dust or the invermectin not both. the invermectin is for internal worms and external mite/lice. You can get some sand and make a dust bath area and sprinkle and mix in some sevin into that to help.

She's molting which explains the feather loss and pin feathers on the back of her neck. Her legs actually look like a severe case of scaley leg mites that has been treated with resultant leg scale loss. Her legs will probably never look normal again, but I'm thinking that with an Ivermectin treatment and good feed she will be good to go. Good on you for rescuing her.

Poor thing. I third the epsom salt/betadine soaks. They will do her good as well as providing some pain relief, at least temporarily. She's going to be one grateful girl when you get her fixed up!

So our big issue right now is that she is not eating & I don't think she is drinking either (if she is, it's very little). We were concerned so we brought some small meal worms which she did eat but is not eating any scratch or layer crumbles or even apples, vegies etc... Is there something we can do or is it o.k. to keep giving her the meal worms since it's all she will eat? She won't even walk to get these now (due to lethargy not pain I think) but will eat them when we put them up to her. If we can give her meal worms how many is enough or too much? Thanks in advance AGAIN for all the help!

Keep giving her the meal worms but offer some grit, I would mix meal worms in with some other food put it in front of her and hopefully she will start to eat. I do for a protein boost give my chickens some dry cat food mixed with yogurt they love it. I hope she gets better.

First, thank you so much for taking her in. She's very lucky to have you.

IMO, if meal worms are all you can get her to eat, give her as much as she'll eat. I would try to sneak in some extra nutrition by mixing them with some plain yogurt or scrambled egg. Is she drinking? I would also add a few drops of Poly-vi-sol (without iron) to her water.

Best of luck with her recovery, and let us know how she's doing.
