Hello there ! Just recently I noticed that my Rooster has some VERY swollen feet. He is an Orpington so his feet are naturally large but I knew this was not normal. He also had a large red bumb on one of his feet that is hot to the touch and squishy. There’s some red streaking going up his foot. I just soaked both his feet with epsoms salt to try and bring the swelling down. He looks like he is in pain and seems to be limping a little. What should I do?!?!?! Thanks

Looks like he might have bumblefoot. I know that you can search this site or the net to learn how to treat it at home or you can have your vet take a look at it. Either way definately needs to be treated. Hope this helps!

Actually, no it doesn't. Upon closer review of the photos, there is no omnipresent black scab on the foot. Don't think it is bumblefoot.

But, the heat and the streaking indicate an infection of some sort.

Ok, thank you! I was thinking bumblefoot also, even though there isn’t a black or brown spot on the bottom of his foot.
