I have a 4-5 week old Ameraucana chick...she had been stuck in with meat chicks for a week when she was fresh from the hatchery. When I got her out she didn't want to use her left leg. I had suspected a slipped tendon but I could never tell for sure. I gave B12 and she perked up a lot over the next couple of days, but her left hock was still obviously larger than the right.

Fast forward to today...she eats and drinks normally. Gets around ok but limps and prefers to lay down if possible and her hock is still about 3 times larger than her right one.

I spent a while with her today feeling her leg and I really don't thing it's a slipped tendon. It seems to be in the correct location. But I can tell there's inflammation.

Any ideas on what it could be and how I can help her?
