swollen/infected eye ?

Hi everyone! Looking for some help/advice, ! always had great results here , got lots of good info a few weeks ago when one of our RIR's was attacked by a dog ( she survived BTW!!!!!!!)
So today's situation is this.
One of our ISA browns, has an infected eye or something, its swollen and you can tell she can't really see out of it.
One is there anything we can do ? What may have caused this ? a scratch ? Could this be transferable to other chickens ? Anything we can go buy to put on it ?
It looks like it's watery also.
Also with her injured eye are the other chickens likely to attack her ?

Usually a swollen draining eye is a symptom of a respiratory disease such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma G, or coryza. Some choose to cull these bird, while others maintain a closed flock since they will usually become carriers. Antibiotics such as Tylan and oxytetracycline are use to treat them. Ok. Thanks headed to tsc after work tomorrow. What could cause this? We haf cold then warm then cold tempertures here in MI could that have caused it?
Is this something that will kill her or the flock or will she pull through?

There is always a slim chance that her eye got scratched, but there are many respiratory diseases that can be spread by buying chicks or chickens from an infected flock or a swap meet. The chickens may not exhibit symptoms right away, but with any stress, such as the cold can bring on illness. These diseases are also passed on shoes, clothing, car tires, or by wild birds, etc. They become carriers even if they recover, and any new chickens you get can be exposed. It is impossible to know what disease you are dealing with unless a bird is tested by the local 4H or state agricultural poultry agent. One can guess by looking at the link i gave you, and comparing symptoms. Infectious bronchitis and MG can be mild or severe, and coryza sometimes can be distinct by it's bad odor and swollen, pussy eyes. Many people will cull any coryza birds. Just do some reading and think about what to do. Tylan 50 injectable is a good inexpensive drug to start with--give 1/2 to 1 cc/ml into the breast muscle daily for 3-5 days. Some people give this orally, but you need to take care to not choke her. Tylan Soluble Powder is also available as well as oxytetracycline for the water. The TSC in your area may not carry many different meds, but should have the Tylan 50. 22 gauge needles and 3 cc/ml syringes (5 of each) should be purchased also.

Thanks so much for the help, I am hoping it's just infected or scratched. Haven't seen any other chickens sick yet, praying for the best for our girl.
