Swollen legs

I have a been with what looks to be swollen legs...feet look normal...seems to walk normal.

If the scales are slightly raised you might have the beginnings of scaly leg mites.

What breed is that chicken? Could it be a meat bird? They can have very stout legs. But there is a disease called marble leg disease or osteopetrosis that can cause hard enlarged lower legs with normal feet. Are the upper legs also enlarged?
