Swollen neck or no?

Hello all, I have a gosling that will be 4 weeks old Wednesday, ever since I've got her she's had a sort of reddish neck with not to much fuzz on it, this morning I just noticed her neck looked like it had a lump on it and than when I looked closer it just seemed like her neck was bigger. I'm wondering if her neck is swollen or not. Pictures will be posted in a moment.

She's not that, that's what I had also thought but we saw her parents and they didn't have that bump on their beak

Hi Ritzy. The gosling definitely looks to be Asiatic; likely chinese or chinese mix.

Is she the only gosling? Are all those young birds in a small brooder? They should all be out on grass by 4 weeks, and tucked in at night. I just wonder if the others are having a little nibble at her. It can happen when they don´t have enough space and when they don´t get out to pick and poke at grass, dirt, etc.

Just edited to say she doesn´t look like 4 weeks. do you mean 4 days? Or maybe these are old pics...

On this goslings neck it looks to me as if the other goslings are biting on the neck because they are board in the container. Get them some romaine lettuce to eat on or so hanging cabbage to play and eat off of. When goslings get board they start to chew on each other I have one doing so to one of my babies too so have to keep them busy with something.... I even give watermelon to the goslings to pick on that eating and on the rind. Good luck...

They'll definitely be moving outside this coming Saturday. The first set of pictures I posted she is 4 weeks, other ones she was about 2 1/2 weeks.

OK, the age thing didn´t make sense.....now I understand.
Well, as Ruru suggested, putting greens in there for them to peck at will be a great help, or dig up a lump of short grass. But at 4 weeks they should be out, at least in the middle of the day when it´s sunny. Whatever is the temperature there? Maybe there´s a chilly wind, but if you pop them out in the middle of the day for a bit, and put up a bit of a windbreak to keep the chill off, then by Saturday they´ll be accustomed to it. It´s so much better for their mental and physical health to be on grass. Ducks, too, obviously, since it´s the ducks that are doing the pecking. Do you plan to get her a goose friend? Geese really need other geese. Ducks suffice if there´s no other option, but it´s like drinking decaf coffee, or non-alcoholic beer...it´s not quite the same thing!
