Swollen Upper Leg

After Nellie's vet gave her the thumbs up 100% recovery this past Saturday (bumblefoot surgery), I noticed she had been limping the past 2 days. She can barely walk or use her left leg as of tonight. I removed her from the duck house brought her inside and gave her a warm bath. Her left upper leg (I have no clue what this is called-but on a human it would be the hip to the knee) is very swollen. Rest and some TLC? It is not discolored like a bruise. What about a sprain (over doing it). Is there something that I am not thinking of??? Back to the vet? Nellie is 8month old Pekin.

your duck had surgery for bumblefoot?!?!?

Yes, they first stuck a needle in and aspirated a little fluid. She opened it up with a small x incision.
Oh- the bumble is back with more friends on the same foot. My poor little duck cannot walk.

you took the duck to the vet??? you can do that by youself...one of my ducks had that and i had to do it but i did and she got better in a week...hope your ducks doing better

Maybe this sounds weird but do you have a picture of her foot?

there's a thread on here somewhere that shows how to remove the plug & treat Bumblefoot.
