swollen waddle

Hello I am new to this site, I three 1 year old chickens. Very healthy. I let them out of the coop to get some exercise, when I rounded the up I noticed my largest chicken has a pea sized knot in her waddle on one side. I looked at some of the disease. She has no other symptoms. She seems very happy. I just don't want this to get any worse. Any ideas?

How does the knot feel? Is it hard or pliable? If it's not hot to the touch (no hotter than where the knot isn't), I wouldn't worry too much at this point, since she's acting normally.
If it gets larger then you have two choices. You could try lancing it to see if there's fluid in it. Or you could try an antibiotic (maybe duramycin or tylan 50) to see if it reduces the area. Actually, you may want to use an antibio. even if you end up lancing it.
But if it remains the size it is now, I'd probably leave it alone.

I don't think I could lance it, even if I wanted to. They are kinda like my babies. I will diffidently get the antibiotics anyway. It feels like a pea. It is firm but not hot. Thanks for your help!
