I have brooded chicks before, just never in the house.

When DH gets home from work he will find that I have an indoor brooder all set up......

And a kitten that I found on my way home this morning. If DH comes looking for me, please don't tell him that I've moved to Tennessee to stay with CityGirl.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of predator problems lately. And I also think this one is a fox. Those are tough to handle. Those two dogs were pretty easy. Upsetting, but easy.

I really don't think four or even eight is a lot and it is not that darn cold. Maybe upper 40's for a low. You should be able to set up on your porch with a good draft guard and maybe a hover if you really want to. Of course, it takes a will to do it.

Imp, should we get a bidding war started? Maybe match when Red raises for bail to keep them there. I'll start with a half dozen eggs.
