Terrible lighting, but Kyla wanted to be queen of the mountain.

Welp, Kyka has gone broody, she has been acting pretty protective of her eggs and just in general for the last few weeks and she has been the nesting box all day day today. She rolled all 4 fake eggs into the nesting box she was in and then collected all 3 eggs laid that day. I took her out for food and water and ok, treats but she was not happy with me . I tried putting on the roosts tonight but she went back to her eggs. Good “mama” . We’ll see how long this lasts......and I’ll update y’all soon.

Do you have a rooster in your flock? Buffs are great family chickens. Great at going broody too.

I don’t. She’s mostly sitting on dummy eggs most of the time because I collect the real (non fertilized ones)
