I have an idea there was a guy in my grade 9 class with hair like that, even though it was stick straight, Somehow it managed to flip out of his eyes. I figured it was split ends.

I'm finally home. And exhausted. My sister is moving from her upstairs 3 bedroom to her downstairs 1 bedroom and has to get rid of a bunch of her stuff. I now have a fig tree, clematis tree (Bush?) Bird of paradise plant, and some other plant that climbs.

I have several other random things as well, including a jewelry making kit, which I don't know how to do, but have kind of wanted to learn. So long as the kid-rens don't touch it I might actually get to do something with it..... I don't remember where it's been set down already though.... Anyway I'm guessing based on how many pages there are in chat there's hours of reading in the RP to read too. I'm gonna be up all night.

It was boy's alarm at 6 that told me I hadn't actually slept all night. I basically just laid in bed trying. Incapable of thought for how tired I was.

Then the children started to appear.

I might just throw up for how sleep deprived I am.

I don't know what type of fig tree you've got, but some info in any case: Figs are good to be eaten when they go soft, not just when they turn brown!

I know nothing about figs at the moment, I'll have to look it up. I'm not sure they'll fruit in my climate. Pretty sure it's an indoor in the winter plant.

I think I agree. I was/am still awkward with Leita, so the writing is stiff and not really characteristic. But Fabian's is spaced well, and it feels better, even if I've not nailed the personalities yet. XD

YOU'VE LITERALLY BEEN AN IMMENSE FACTOR IN MY DRIVE FOR SELF IMPROVEMENT OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS ???

I think we all feel the same as you. What we write isn't good enough. But the only way to get better is to write, and the only way to get more comfortable is to put it out there.

I don't think we're judging other peoples writing critically. Maybe looking at how everyone else is better than our own. There's so much fiddling work I want to do with mine, but I guess I decided I worked long enough. It is a snapshot of where I am writing wise at this point, and while extra time spent could make it better, the amount of frustration isn't worth the struggle to make it better, and possibly lose the intended feeling. ???

It's the same as art, it may not be perfect but there's a point where improving on what you've got isn't worth the stress. Or maybe admitting to myself that I'm not at that stage yet? Where I can do better.

Almost like I need to improve on my building blocks to improve on the outcome. But not knowing where to begin.... I've gone on and on here... Hopefully my point isn't lost in wordiness.

The thing is, I don't think anyone is ever completely content with what they create. We always judge ourselves by our own shortcomings, when the only thing that should matter that much is how much fun we had doing it. That's rarely the case though. XD

You're one of the people on here that I've always looked up to the writing abilities of (I've always admired the writing of everyone in this RP)
I don't really know what to say to expand on what Kate and TM said, but they're definitely right, and I think people have a tendency to dislike their creations because they fall short of their own expectations, but in reality it's really amazing.
In other words, I think you're a really awesome writer and I love all your posts, Jinx.
