I saw him perched, all hunched up. I know that’s a bad sign in chickens, so I approached him. I noticed how dirty he was and how he didn’t seem to notice me approach, so I tried to catch him. It worked. He was so skinny and filthy I couldn’t just release him after that.
I saw one like that in Las Vegas. I decided to leave it alone.
Well, I only did it because I’m able to.
There’s things like disease, for example, that you have to consider. I don’t have many birds, so it’s easy to separate him from them while keeping him mostly outside. Though I still haven’t touched Neet or brought him inside since I got the new pigeon just to be safe.

Pigeons are a lot like chickens with disease- there’s actually not many pigeon diseases that people can get sick from. Unless you stick the pigeon in your mouth, I guess.
